For emergencies always dial 911. Once at the hospital the emergency room staff will contact us.

To contact us after the office closes.

Call the office number 562.795.6406 and you will get the doctor on call or a recording to leave a number and a short message. The doctor on call will return your call.

Meet The Physicians

DrDrum.jpg (24155 bytes) Dr. Larry A. Drum
Doctor Drum is a proud native of Long Beach. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1975 and performed his undergraduate work at USC. Inspired by a skiing accident that left him in a leg cast in 1971, Dr. Drum’s mind and energy drifted towards the medical field. He earned his MD degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1984, and did his postdoctoral work at his cross-town rival UCLA. Read more

Dr. Dr. Alexandra Chrysanthis is a native Californian, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. “C”, as she is affectionately known in the office, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, at Berkeley. Her postgraduate studies took her to historic Philadelphia where she graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Read more 

Meet Our Staff

Nancy first started with MSIM when our doors opened in 2003. She primarily works with Dr. Drum but helps out with the front desk duties as well. “Working here at MSIM is great. The doctors and patients are wonderful. This place truly feels like a home away from home.” When not at work you will find Nancy at the softball diamond rooting her daughters on to victory.

Liz has been with MSIM since 2004. She primarily works with Dr. Chrysanthis but helps as well with the front desk. She is an avid outdoorsman, runner and collector of many animals. When not dirt biking with her boyfriend she can be seen running with her dogs- even in the rain.

Grace started at MSIM in the summer of 2008. She works both front office and back. She is quite the Basketball fan……Go Lakers! A hard worker at MSIM but "on weekends I like to hibernate like a bear."

Phylicia is our newest member at MSIM. Married and has 2 children, Madison and Mahseiah. Phylicia works the front office full time answering phones and receptionist to our waiting room. On her days off she spends most of her time raising her family and watching movies.

Ryan started as a filer in our office in 2008. He is a student at Cypress College and also assists in the Training Room at Long Beach State. He stays in shape by swimming and working out in his home gym. Ryan has a keen sense of humor and when challenged can name every college mascot…..just try him.

JoAnn works part time and fills when others are vacation. She is a mortgage broker and mother of 2 boys.
